Piezoelectric printers, for instance, use an electric charge to control each ink drop precisely, producing clean and accurate prints. DOD printers can be paused for maintenance without disrupting production, making them a good fit for high-resolution barcode or 2D code printing.

They include features like a color touchscreen interface, smart ink monitoring, and easy cartridge replacement to prevent spills or waste. These printers can also connect to factory networks for remote operation and data management.

Many advanced models come with print head protection technology, such as Sealtronic, which prevents ink drying or clogging during downtime. This ensures reliable performance, minimal maintenance, and long-term efficiency on fast-paced production lines.
